“ Colonial is a fantastic mixture of a take-out restaurant, panederia/bakery and supermarket that is uniquely focused on the Latin market. They have some regular US brands you see everywhere, but they have a very wide variety of Latin brands and items that you can't find anywhere else. This extends to produce as well. The panederia has a wide variety of breads, cookies, cakes, etc., and the takeout counter was super busy. The staff are very nice here, too. One thing to watch for is that parking is really tight here. ”
“ I get their enchiladas in red sauce quite a bit. Really tasty and well-executed. You get that nice iceberg lettuce crunch and the granule texture of the cotija cheese. The flavors all meld seamlessly. The quesadilla I like too since it's neatly prepared and isn't over-loaded with cheese. It feels healthier than most from a low oil and moderate calorie perspective. Love their restaurant salsas. I just wish they sold their red restaurant salsa in the grocery store. ”

I recently moved here from California and I grew up eating authentic flavorful Mexican food so I was spoiled and then moved here and was worried about finding authentic Mexican food. This place is my holy grail. Check out the restaurant and get thier pastor tacos or thier quessabirra with the consome broth. Separate from the restaurant is the market and they have great tamales as well as other meats and beans for the busy on the go Mexican food lover. 10/10 would recommend. ”
